Thesis Work

Lately I have been stressed by my thesis work and all the critiques I have been through recently. My head has been a jumbled mess, and I've been second guessing what I'm doing and why I'm doing it. Art school is one of the hardest things I've ever done. 


I am now slowly emerging from my funk, and started some new paintings, inspired by Helen Frankenthaler, Grace Hartigan, and my favorite Joan Mitchell. They are my inspiration--I have dreamed about their paintings.


My new paintings are going to be a dialogue of washes of color combined with layers of paint applied with a knife. I am still inspired by memory and tactile experiences of childhood.
